Your Authentic Tuscan Experience Off the Beaten Path
Just book your holiday now! Stop looking at the other options. This place has everything you need for your Tuscan holiday, including a bottle of home-made Chianti, some jam and some local snacks as a 'welcome'. The fridge is also stocked with a few basics - milk, bread, butter, tea, coffee. The Bianchi family have thought of everything, so you can just sit back and relax! We have just spent 11days at The Little Love Nest. With a car, it's easy to get to places like Cortona & Assisi, but we spent the last few days just exploring the immediate area and found so many wonderful little towns within a 15km radius. We also caught the train from Arezzo (about 15mins drive from here) to Florence for the day. Marusca and Gianni are generous hosts with a great love of Tuscany. Gianni's parents, Renato and Graziella, live just down the road from the house and are warm and welcoming. We were fortunate to be invited to a family dinner which was filled with laughter. Such lovely people. Nothing is too much trouble. It is a short stroll into town to buy any supplies that you might need (2 small supermarkets, a bakery, a butcher, a fruit/veg, bank, tobacconist) and there are also laundromats in town if you don't want to spend good holiday-time on washing. The town also has a cafe and two pizzerias. Medieval hilltop villages abound (including Castiglion Fibocchi itself), so if you love wandering down winding little streets whilst imagining days of long ago, this is the place to do it. There are also plenty of local wineries to visit as this is on the Tuscan Wine Road. At the end of a day of exploring, or sitting in the sun enjoying lunch on a Tuscan farm, or wine-tasting at a local vineyard, it is always lovely to come home to the Little Love Nest.
