(51 Km - 52 min) Sansepolcro was the birthplace of the painters Piero della Francesca, Raffaellino del Colle and Angiolo Tricca. It was also the birthplace of the Italian mathematician Luca Pacioli.
The main center of the Tuscan Tiber Valley , boasts a fine old town , enclosed by walls bordered by gunboats and an imposing Medici Fortress (1350 ) . The city is home to major textile manufacturing and food ( Buitoni brand , known worldwide , is set directly in Sansepolcro ) .
